The nature at coast of the Adriatic Sea is unique: it is a lot of wood, beautiful mountains, generally pebble beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water. Air here such pure that doctors recommend rest in Croatia to all, who have trouble breathing and lungs. In this land of plenty also large number of balneological resorts in which it is possible to restore health, to find vital forces and to restore immunity by means of mineral waters, the purest mountain air and various improving procedures. In the territory of this small country unique natural complexes and historical monuments, the beautiful sea coast wonderfully adjoin to hundreds of islands and numerous locks, the dense woods and a set of thermal sources. And taking into account that Croatia lies on crossing of a set of roads in the center of Europe, its recreational opportunities only increase.
Traveling around Croatia, surely make an excursion to Dubrovnik which by quantity of the Renaissance era monuments (fortifications and towers, public constructions, churches, houses and palaces) which excellently remained up to now can be comparable in Europe only with Venice or Amsterdam.
In the small country of Croatia there is a set of monuments of world value: the island Shipan (a Renaissance era), a cathedral in Shibenike (Yuray Dalmatinats, the 15th century, the only cathedral in Europe constructed of stone plates), a chapel in Trogire (Nikola Firentinats, the 15th century, in it is 150 sculptural and bas-relief images of a human face), about eighty original summer residences of the nobility built during a Renaissance era in the republic Dubrovnik (16th century) etc.
In the territory of Croatia 7 surprising national parks are located. Rub from them - on coastal islands: Brioni near Pools, Kornati near Zadar and Mlet near Korchula. The Roman antiquity is especially felt in the Bullet (perfectly remained Amphitheater, Sergiyevats's arch and Augustus's temple) and in Split (monumental Diokletsianov the palace, the 4th century).
In Porec many cathedrals, the most known of which is Saint Efrazius's Basilica which is in the list of the world treasuries of UNESCO and possesses surprisingly beautiful Byzantine mosaic which brought to Porec international recognition, remained. Porec is the most visited tourist center of Croatia thanks to excellent infrastructure, the nature, surprising on beauty, and magnificent opportunities for rest.
In Zagreb surely visit the pedestrian small street of Ivan Zakmardiya which will lead to the funicular (1888) connecting top and lower speak rapidly the cities, and to a tower of Lotrscak from which observation deck the beautiful view of the city opens. In total baroque Church of St. Catherine, the most prestigious showroom of the city - Muzeyski a scope, and a little to the north, on crossing of streets of Kamenit and Opalichk, stone gate (13th century, by miracle escaped at the fire of 1731) with the image of the maiden Maria lie in couple of quarters to the East.
Kaptol's center is St Stephen's cathedral constructed in 1899 on the place of the medieval cathedral destroyed by an earthquake in 1880. Surely visit the nearby baroque Palace of the archbishop serving as the fortress protecting from the Turkish attacks, the central square of Josip Elachich with his monument, Arcades and the cemetery Mirogoy - one of the most beautiful cemeteries of Europe, and also the picturesque market Dolach and Comedy theater. Founded in the 17th century. The Zagreb university is considered one of the oldest, and its building - one of the most beautiful in Europe.
